The regional training program was held for 46 yrs. Wheatland representatives who oversaw the metering school chose to donate Wheatland’s share of unused funds to local organizations.

The School is designed for and by individuals who work with meters and/or metering electricity, or who answer questions about energy usage. The school offers instruction at four separate levels: basic, intermediate, advanced, and hands-on metering.

EEI’s TDM&MA Conference focuses on transmission, distribution and metering issues as well as mutual assistance issues and best practices for the investor-owned electric utility community.

Formed in 1993, HMA, consists of Mid-West Municipal Utilities, Rural Electric Cooperatives, and Investor Owned utilities. Meetings are quarterly and focused on Metering News & Updates. Vendors are occasionally invited for presentation of New products.

The Minnesota Electric Meter School is laid out into three groups, each of which has a course program specifically tailored to that specific knowledge level of job classification. Participants may attend any classes from any tracks.

The University of Arkansas Electric Meter School is held at the Center for Continuing Education, located at 2 East Center Street, on the square in downtown Fayetteville, AR. There are 4 levels of classes: Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, & Premier.

Located near Bryan, TX. SWEMA manages this week-long program in partnership with utilities, equipment manufacturers and suppliers. Our partners provide expert instructors and regularly monitor and update the curriculum.
